The service in brief
Krealo QR creates QR codes and short links. Codes created in your account point to their own short link on krlo.ca: scans are counted and, with Pro, the destination can be changed later. Two exceptions are not tracked: the QR code from the no-account generator and the Wi-Fi code, which hold the address or the network itself.

Frequently asked questions
Can I password-protect a QR code or make it expire?
Yes, with the Pro plan: a password (hashed, with a limit on tries), an expiry date or a maximum number of scans, with a replacement destination. The printed code does not change.
Can I create many QR codes at once?
Yes, with the Pro plan: a CSV file creates one short link and QR code per row, up to 500 per file, with a ZIP of the codes as PNGs.
How do I see which poster brings visits in Google Analytics?
Krealo QR adds UTM parameters to the destination address on every scan, on every plan. Google Analytics, installed on your site, reads them.
Do I need an account?
Not for a simple QR code: the generator on the home page makes a static PNG QR code with no account, but it is not tracked and its destination can never change. To create short links, count scans and keep your codes, you need a free account: Google, Apple or a magic link by email, with no password.
What are the limits of the Free plan?
Free allows up to 10 active links, black-and-white QR codes, a total click counter for each link and PNG download. It is free forever, with no credit card.
What does Pro include?
Logo in the centre, custom colours and styles, a custom slug, editable destinations, detailed statistics, SVG and PDF download, unlimited links and the API.
How much is Pro and how do I pay?
US$5.99 a month, plus taxes, paid through PayPal. In Québec, 5% GST and 9.975% QST are added.
How do I cancel Pro?
You can cancel at any time. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for (month or year), then your account goes back to Free.
What is a dynamic QR code?
It is a QR code whose destination can change without changing the printed code. With Pro, you edit the target address from your account.
Can I put my logo in the QR code?
Yes, with Pro. You upload your logo as a file, it is resized automatically, and error-correction level H helps the code stay scannable.
What statistics can I see?
Free shows the total number of clicks for each link. Pro adds the breakdown by day, country, device type and referrer.
What do you do with my data and my visitors’ data?
For each scan of a short link we record the date and time, country, device type, operating system, browser, browser language, referrer domain and source (QR code or link), kept for one year. No IP address is stored: unique visitors are counted with a one-way fingerprint that changes every day and is deleted after 2 days. The database, functions and the files you upload (logos, PDFs, photos) are in Montréal.
Is there an API?
Yes, for Pro accounts. You generate a personal token on your account page and create or read your links and QR codes through the REST API.
How do I delete my account?
Write to info@krealomedia.com. On request, deleting your account removes your links and click events.
What happens to my links if Pro ends?
They keep working. You just can’t create more than 10 active links or edit a destination until you go Pro again.
